Frequently Asked Questions

Can a student join the storytelling module if they haven't completed the previous module?
Yes. While the modules complement one another, students do not need to complete previous modules before joining storytelling classes. Teachers will provide guidance and support based on each student’s current ability and confidence level. The focus is on helping students grow progressively from where they are.

Storytelling helps students develop important skills that support composition and creative writing, such as:

  • Generating ideas more easily
  • Sequencing events logically
  • Adding meaningful details
  • Describing emotions and situations more vividly
  • Building stronger story flow and structure

As students practise organising and expressing ideas verbally, many find it easier to transfer those skills to written composition.

Parents are always invited to observe the final showcase performance. The showcase gives students an opportunity to apply what they have learnt in front of a supportive audience while allowing parents to observe their progress, confidence and communication development over time.

We guide students to think beyond simply adding “fancier words.” Instead, we encourage them to focus on sensory details, emotions, actions and specific observations that help the audience visualise the scene more clearly. Through guided prompts, examples and interactive activities, students learn how to make their storytelling more engaging, expressive and meaningful.
No specific level is required. Students join with different strengths, confidence levels and communication styles. Lessons are adjusted according to the student’s age and developmental stage, with teachers providing appropriate support and guidance where needed. The goal is not perfection, but helping each child become a clearer and more confident communicator over time.
